We have the same bad news to share, as this is exactly what happened, so no need to rewrite the explanation. Credit to the The Battle Standard for writing such a thorough explanation.
We hope that GW will release the individual models ASAP to somewhat rectify this error. If you had a preorder with us, we will take this into consideration when the individual models are released. We hope to not see this happen in the future.

To our valued customers...
We would like to take a moment to post something today, that may have been seen as a joke for April Fools if posted yesterday. Unfortunately, this is not a joke and we are completely taken aback by these circumstances.
For the second time, we will NOT be receiving new releases from Games Workshop in the numbers we requested, and was confirmed by them to be receiving. To be completely clear, the numbers received will be zero.
Each week, we are required by their policies, to submit their Google Sheet (a multimillion dollar company, using Google Sheets to take pre-orders...?) to request product counts for new releases. We are then granted a quantity by Games Workshop, based on that request. After we get our confirmation of quantities allocated to us from Games Workshop, we take your pre-orders. Never before. This is to do our best to make sure you will get what you pre-order.
This system, apparently, means very little to GW, as they are not able to fill their promised numbers to the retailers. They have no recourse to help stores they fail to fill quantities for, and their sales reps are unable to address the problems without passing it on to a higher level that does not respond to complaints.
In the case of the recent battleforces The Battle Standard only received half of the factions we ordered product for. The boxes we received were the least popular options so that would indicate that they oversold them and elected to not ship to some stores despite allocations provided. They refused to work with us to even obtain the models independently for our customers that pre-ordered these items. We were forced to refund ALL of these boxes.
Now, again, the Horus Heresy Legio Custodes is one of the same situations. The Battle Standard is not being sent any of the product that we were allocated and ordered for your pre-orders.
We are not the only ones suffering from these poor business practices of the company many of our fellow FLGS depend on for a large portion of our revenue. Local establishments that ordered as much as 20x what we ordered, received zero quantities. We know this, because like The Battle Standard, many local FLGS work together to help get your orders from others stores if Games Workshop fails to fulfill our orders. This is how we are forced to operate in these times.
All we can do is apologize to you ourselves, for doing our best to serve you the best we can given the circumstances.
Please know that we are doing everything in our power to make this right, but we are but one small entity. Let them hear from you directly. Send customer complaint emails. Speak to this on there social media platforms. Tell them this is not ok for you, and the FLGS's that you support so often.
