✨ About Me ✨
Hello everyone! My name is Wa Yah of Wa Yah’s Graphical Design, and I’m a 46 (almost 47!) year old grandmother, mother, newly licensed foster mom, military wife, daughter, sister, and graphic designer. I wear many hats, and I do my best to fill each role with love and dedication. Sometimes I succeed, sometimes I fail—but that’s the beauty of life. Every day is another opportunity to learn, grow, and try again.
I’ve been creating graphics for over 20 years. My journey started when my children were very young. Back then, I designed for fun communities and virtual pet games such as Neopets, Horseland, and Furry-Paws. I spent countless hours creating artwork while also enjoying the games themselves. Some of them are still around today! If you’re looking for a great family-friendly game for your kids, I highly recommend Furry-Paws.com. It teaches responsibility, animal care, breeding ethics, and long-term planning in a fun and engaging way. In my opinion, it’s a 10 out of 10!
Originally, graphic design started as a side gig to help support our family. As a military family with anywhere from one to four children at home over the years, every little bit helped. After the birth of my first child, I chose to become a stay-at-home mom so I could be the constant presence in my children’s lives while their dad was often away serving. If you’re part of a military family, you know exactly what that means.
A few years ago, I got back into designing when my little sister of the heart needed artwork for her sublimation business. I quickly remembered how much I loved creating, and before long, I decided to branch out and open my own Etsy shop.
Today, my business is doing okay, but I would love to grow it into something even bigger. That’s where you come in!
