Threlfall, Raymond Elliot, 72, of Warwick, New York, passed away peacefully on June 26, 2019 at Hackensack University Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Born, in Paterson, New Jersey he was the son of the late Aaron and Louisa Threlfall. Ray was raised in Haledon, New Jersey and lived most of his life in West Milford, New Jersey. Ray was also an avid model railroader and worked tirelessly as the Owner and Operator of the Model Railroad Post Office and CM Shops in Hewitt, New Jersey until his well-deserved retirement in 2014. Ray had a kindness and love for his fellow human being that was unparalleled. We personally witnessed more acts of giving, kind words and thoughtful gestures from Ray towards his fellow man than we could ever possibly recount. He made everyone whose life he touched richer for having known him. He will be remembered as a trusted friend, confidante and extraordinary husband to his wife Marie Threlfall. He was a devoted father to Dennis Camporeale and his wife Joey of Darien, CT, Paul Camporeale of Aberdeen, NJ, and Michael Camporeale and his wife Bliss of West Milford, NJ. Ray was a fun-loving and doting grandfather to his cherished Nathan, Christopher, Carter, and Amanda. Ray is also survived by his brother in law William Urban and his wife Barbara of Clark, NJ, his niece, Theresa Urban of Springfield, NJ, as well as his cousins Gary Threlfall and his wife Mary Jane of Wayne, NJ, Sharon Curving of Wayne, NJ, James Pavone and his wife Marianne of Stillwater, NJ, Al Threlfall of Lodi, NJ, and his beloved dog, Katie. In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his first wife, Theresa Ann, and his brother in law John Tronlone. A celebration of his life will be held at Richards Funeral Home, 1440 Union Valley Road, West Milford, NJ on Tuesday, July 2 from 2:00-4:00PM and 6:00-8:00PM. Funeral service on Wednesday, July 3 at 11:00AM. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to: West Milford First Aid Squad, West Milford, NJ. Please remember Ray by committing an unexpected, random act of kindness to someone who cannot repay you or by taking time to look for the details, which is where life is really found. For he would want us all to remember though life is short, it is up to us to make it sweet.
