This is a post we never wanted to make. It is with an extremely heavy heart we announce that Rider’s Tree Lot will not be returning for the 2021 season. Rider’s Tree Lot has been a staple in our family for most of our lives and making this decision has been devastating. We were so excited to come back after missing last year but when we received the price list from our supplier we were shocked - the Christmas tree shortage is very real and because of it, our supplier was forced to quadruple their prices this year. This means that we would have to increase our starting price to $150 instead of our usual $40 and we just can’t do that.
Our supplier has notified us that this is going to be their last year for wholesale trees for a few years until their crops catch up to their demand. It is unlikely we will be able to return before they do. We plan to return when we can, whenever that is.
We want to extend the most heartfelt thank you for allowing us to be a part of your Christmas traditions over the last 39 years. Our Christmas won’t be the same without you.
