In it's second iteration, it continues the mission, this time, with Emma herself. We are an odd lot of beautifully and wonderfully made individuals with varying skills and abilities (and quirks too!). We came together after Lynn, Emma’s Mom, started making and gifting our goods to Emma’s teachers, therapists & family friends. After experiencing their natural goodness, they began asking if they cou
ld buy them. Meanwhile serving on a Board of Directors for United Cerebral Palsy, called Avenues in Pottsville, PA, Lynn realized the lack of good, creative work for adults with disabilities. An epiphany:
to start a company to create that work! In 2008, with the constant support of Don, Lynn’s husband and Emma’s Big Daddy, Emma’s Friends Soaps &Lotions was
founded to creatively employ adults with disabilities, better known as our friends. We adore our Friends and love sharing all the wonderful things they Can Do and the Joy they bring to our lives.
