Why then would you want to drop an additional $1,200+ on a silencer/suppressor just to keep from startling anyone within hearing range when you take down a buck at 150 yards before most people have even had their first cup of coffee? At SilentArms, we want to provide a cost effective solution that reliably gets the job done without being overly complicated. Testing is currently underway on our product and we are targeting an initial release date late Q4 of this year.

So tonight's project was a wild one....

Had a customer request machining for a direct fit SRO on a Staccatto slide. Problem is, like most 1911's and their cousins- the slide isn't wide enough to handle the screw spacing for the RMR footprint. The solution is an RMR mounting plate- so no big deal.

That's where the plot thickens.

The customer provided us a RMR Staccatto mounting plate- but it was for an optics ready slide. Now Staccato will gladly machine your slide to upgrade it to their optics ready platform- but its over $600 for the service. Even worse, this would work for a regular RMR with the plate the customer provided, but it would not work with the SRO because the front of the optic overhangs the footprint. Of course Staccatto can sell you the SRO compatible plate- but thats another couple hundred bucks to spend.

Our solution was to modify the plate the customer provided and then machine the slide to accept it. Now this gun will have a one of a kind look and the SRO looks perfect.👌

Basically its a smaller version of the Staccato optics ready platform- and it will accept an SRO or standard RMR optic with no additional plates required.

Really hope the owner loves shooting it as much as we loved working on it!

We've been slammed with work here lately and clearly dropped the ball on some social media posts! We're trying to get caught up and figured this one would be a good start. A beautiful Staccatto 2011 that we did some slide machining on. Quite a bit of 3D modeling, CNC programming, and fine tuning with tooling- but she came out slick. What do you guys think?

Super late night in the shop- but it was worth it! Just finished dressing up this Canik TP9 slide with a Shield RMS optic cut and some unique slide cuts up front. It came out great, and we think the owner will be more than pleased with the results!

It's a little cold outside, so it's the perfect time for some optics cuts on the mill! This is a Shield RMS cut for a Sig Sauer Romeo Zero Elite optic on a Derya DY9 slide.
