The other day, I was working on my miniature café when my daughter pulled up a chair beside me.

She brought in flowers from the yard (and maybe a few weeds 😂), grabbed some scissors, and started creating her own project.

For a little while, we just sat together. No rushing. No agenda. Just making things side by side.

Those quiet moments are one of my favorite things about creative hobbies. They give us a chance to slow down, focus on something small, and simply enjoy being together.

It made my heart happy. 💜

I thought we were coming to build miniatures.

Last night, as I was closing up after Open Table, I realized how peaceful I felt.

Heart full.
Mind calm.
Energy replenished.

I stood there for a few extra minutes just soaking it in.

As a mom of seven, life is rarely quiet. But there’s something about creative time, tiny projects, and good company that helps everything settle back into place.

This mama is heading into the weekend with a full cup. ☕️🧡
