The next meeting of Art’s Friends will be held on Monday, January 9th at 1PM in the Studio. This meeting will focus on creating “to-go” art packets for children and planning for a spring art auction benefit!

Art’s Friends is a group that has recently formed from volunteers interested in helping out with fundraising and other projects to benefit the Gmeiner.

The art at Corning Museum of Glass depicts the end of an era of a glass factory in a small town I believe in Italy or Portugal. Red glass represents the blood of the dying town…..and the crows come to clean it up. Sept. 29th, 2016, our ribbon machine rolled out of the Wellsboro plant. I was going through my ornaments and found this today. It was the end of our era. The Gmeiner has a mini museum set up until the end of the month. Visit and relive our history! And as you might thank someone for doing you a favor, thank the worker who worked there and kept Wellsboro from folding.
