We received this message today, and with Lisa’s permission, we wanted to share it because it touched our hearts. 💛

“Hi! Thank you for all you’re doing! The morning show segment was wonderful! My almost 14-year-old son is autistic. We were in Ogunquit the weekend of July 24th and noticed the roosters. I was curious, so I did a quick Google search. When we learned the story behind them, our whole family was so excited. My son said, ‘That is amazing! Let’s go on a rooster hunt!’ It turned into such a fun adventure.

Thank you for your mission and your genuine, kind-hearted efforts to bring awareness. There is still so much work to be done, but what you’re doing truly matters. We still need to take a picture with our rooster, but please know you have our full support here in Walpole, New Hampshire! 💛

One small note I wanted to share—in case it’s helpful. The autism community has largely moved away from the puzzle piece symbol. Today, many autistic individuals prefer the gold infinity symbol (♾️). The chemical symbol for gold is Au—the first two letters of Autism. Gold also represents something incredibly valuable that doesn’t need to be ‘fixed,’ unlike the message many feel the puzzle piece once suggested. The rainbow infinity symbol is also widely embraced to represent neurodiversity.

Please forgive me if you already knew this. We simply appreciate everything you’re doing. I know this must all feel overwhelming at times. We’re praying the wonderful town of Ogunquit embraces this mission and recognizes what a positive impact Pyper’s Purpose is having.”
