The Only Constant in Life is Change

Throughout history, it has been said that five hundred years is merely a blink of an eye for a rock. In light of this perspective, we at J Choate Basketry are embracing change and are excited to share some new developments with you.

Many of you have known Jill since we began this journey in 1994, while others may be joining us for the first time. As we navigate this evolving chapter, I want to take a moment to share something personal. My father, Lee, is currently at home facing the challenges of renal failure, following my mother’s triumph over breast cancer after a year of treatment. In our family, we value memories above all, and I strive to create as many cherished moments as possible with my loved ones during this time.

To reflect these changes and strengthen our bond with you, our valued community, we will be shifting our release structure. Here’s what you can expect:

- **Weekly Drops:** We will initiate a weekly release featuring patterns, tutorials, and exciting Patreon updates—all in one go.

- **Curated Kit Collections:** Each kit drop will feature a curated selection of 3-4 items. This new approach allows us time to film, edit, and prepare each kit for you. Please note that each launch will be limited to 12-20 kits at most. Once they are sold out, they will not be restocked.

- **Supplies Available:** In addition to our kits, we will be offering essential supplies such as handles and bases, so be sure to keep checking back for updates.

- **Finished Baskets for Sale:** In a new endeavor, we will also be offering finished baskets for sale. Often, we have reserved these beautiful pieces as gifts for family and friends, but now we want to extend this opportunity to all of you.

Thank you for your incredible support over the past 30 years. We hope to continue this journey with you for many more years to come. Your presence means the world to us.
