Hello Weiser!

Can you believe summer is around the corner!? After a crazy school year, it’s hard to believe the summer fun is about to begin. For those wondering: No, that is not Sterling Shaved Ice getting set up on HWY 95. In fact, I had secured the property across the street for this summer, but given the recent developments and with a great deal of consideration, I have decided to not run the shaved ice trailer this summer. 😔

I started the shaved ice trailer the summer of COVID as a way to create memories for the families in town. I’ve loved every second of it! Each summer I’ve tried a new location, hoping to find the sweet spot that allowed me to run the stand without worry of additional investment to keep it running.

This summer, too many things added up and it became very clear there needed to be a shift in my focus and energies. I am hoping to return to school myself and work towards my degree in Educational Leadership. Plus, there are so many things I need to do at my house this summer that has been neglected the last two years. Everything just pointed to taking a “break” from running the trailer and catching up on some other things that needed to take priority. Seeing another shaved ice business setting up across the street was the sign I needed to know there would still be the opportunity for families to make memories.

I WILL still do special events when invited, and I hope to see you at them. Please come say hi at the Weiser Hospital Foundation’s Community Give Back Day in June! It’s always so much fun to see you there!

In the meantime, I hope you go out and support all the awesome small businesses we have in Weiser! I can honestly tell you, first hand, they NEED your support! Help keep our little town thriving by supporting the businesses that are working hard for YOU!
