Thank you to everyone for allowing us to serve your aviation needs for 33 years. We will keep this page going, so we can keep in contact as we move on to the next chapter of our lives. Tony will be working full-time at Valeo Physical Therapy and Carolynn will continue her volunteer work at the Houston Zoo and also be working at the Missouri City Library. Thank you and God Bless!

Our friends with the EAA Chapter 12 are hosting an event in our parking lot September 20th:
" 20 Sep 12:00 noon to 2-ish, Send-Off Tailgating Event at the Aviator Shop - Ellington: Come out and help us celebrate the last day for our local pilot shop, last chance for paper charts (new ones will have just come out), and wish Carolynn and Tony the best as they move on to other adventures. Hot dogs and hamburgers on the grill as well as probably some bits you just cannot live without in the shop. Please drop by wish them well."

We will be closed September 1st for Labor Day. We will come back on September 2nd with reduced hours while we prepare for the closing of the store. We will be here 10am-3pm Monday-Friday for the first week of September. We will be closed on Saturdays through September. We highly recommend calling us first after that just to make sure that we are here. We will be here through the arrival of the 9/18 edition charts for our chart subscribers. If you would like to reserve a copy of the new Houston Sectional and/or TAC chart, please let us know so we can make sure to get one for you. Thanks for all the love. We truly appreciate our customers!!!

It is with heavy hearts that we announce we are closing. September 1, 2014 marks the 33rd Anniversary of the founding of The Aviator Shop. Upon retiring from NASA, Lew Fisher and his wife Lily thought they would try running a pilot supply store for 6 months to see if it would work. Current owners, their children, Tony Le Cara and Carolynn Waites would like to thank all our aviation friends for their patronage over the years. Effective September 2nd, we will be reducing our hours in preparation for moving on to our next adventure. We will be around to distribute the next issue of Houston VFR Charts that are effective 9/19 and if you are interested please call or stop by to make arrangements to be contacted when they are available. The building and property are for sale, so if anyone is interested in owning a 3000 square foot building directly across from Ellington Field please contact us.
