’Twas the night before Christmas at JMK Graphix so bright,
Not a laser was buzzing, not a printer in sight.
The filament spools rested, the lenses were clean,
In hopes Christmas morning soon would be seen.
The lake maps were wrapped, the nightlights all shipped,
Tumblers and wall art were carefully clipped.
Each custom-made order—engraved, printed, complete—
Had made its way home, every customer met.
The printers lay silent, their long labors through,
Dreaming of layers in red, white, and blue.
While lasers stood still where they’d etched with such care,
Fine crosses and names once glowing right there.
When out in the shop came a soft jolly sound,
I turned from the doorway and looked all around.
There stood St. Nick smiling, his eyes full of cheer,
Admiring the gifts crafted year after year.
“These makers,” he said, with a nod of respect,
“Turn simple raw blanks into treasures perfect.
Each order delivered, not one left behind—
That’s the joy of shopping local small businesses, one of a kind.”
He gave one last glance at the quiet-filled room,
Where creativity rested till business resumed.
Then he called as he vanished from workshop to light,
“Thank you for shopping local small businesses—Merry Christmas, good night!”
