🌵 SHOP ANNOUNCEMENT 🌵Howdy ya’ll! You may have noticed that we’ve been a little silent lately on social media. 2022 was a beautifully challenging yet rewarding year and with everything we’ve learned, we’re packaging it all up and preparing for a better future for Maybel Trading Post.
When opening our shop, we tried using a drop shipping e-commerce method in which our vendors could ship product straight to the customer. Through trials, hurdles and challenges with this, we learned that shipping from overseas is NOT what we want to do or represent. Perhaps this works for some businesses, but it was not good for us and the Chinese-made products were less than desirable.
All this to say- we are pivoting at Maybel Trading Post. We took a good, hard look at the heart and soul of this shop and have come to realize that we truly love American-made goods with top quality, heart and soul behind them. We want to support USA-made small business and families and support the backbone of American economy. We began this process in October and took a brief pause as we began to sift through inventory and figure out the best future for Maybel.
So, in conclusion, we want to first thank ALL OF YOU (customers, vendors, family and friends) who have supported us in this journey so far. Second, we want to be transparent with our customers, letting you know where we’re at and what is on our hearts. Third, we’re SO EXCITED for the future and for the eagerness to begin relationship with artisans and families creating USA made goods. We’re excited to re-stock our shop with top quality goods. And we’re excited to share that experience with you, the customer. We care about what you buy and we care about supporting American-made.
