We’re officially saying goodbye to 318 E South Main. This space has never belonged to just one person. It has always been ours.

Letting go is the right decision and will only lead us to where we want to be — we’re moving on in order to move forward.

So I’m not really sad.

But, I am speechless.

The love, kindness, encouragement, consideration & camaraderie you have shown me, shown Kelci, shown Kim — it’s almost incomprehensible & impossible to equally reciprocate.

You’re simply unreal & inspire us daily.

There is no way we could ever have dreamed of a better community.

So, I’m not really sad.

But, I am overwhelmed with feels reflecting on all that has been shared within these four walls over the past five years.

Belonging. Gratitude. Connection. Warmth. Hope.

This is everything we’ve felt, everything we’re feeling right now & everything we’ll carry with us into this next chapter.

After nearly five weird & wonderful years (+ an endless number of belly laughs, tears of all kinds, and meaningful connections) we have made the gut-wrenching decision to close our storefront in Waxhaw.

Life has been pretty rude these past few months — forcefully pushing us onto different paths. Sadly, that means we are no longer able to invest our time, energy, or resources into this space.

〰️ You can hang with us in store through Saturday, December 10th.

We will be selling through all remaining in-store inventory to help cover the costs of this transition.

We hope to see you & give you a big squeeze + find these good goods some good new homes!

〰️ Our online store will remain open.

You can visit us at shopsiela.com and enjoy free local delivery (within 15 miles) and free shipping on orders over $35.

We will spend the first quarter of next year regrouping, refocusing, and rebuilding this piece of our business that we have not been able to prioritize while operating the storefront.

〰️ For now, not forever.

There is a possibility of a move to a new location next year. We hope this offers an opportunity to continue our work of encouraging responsible consumption, and supporting our community in every way we can.

Please send all the positive thoughts & energy & vibes possible so we that may collectively manifest this into reality.

This month's Refill Pop will be this Thursday, October 6th from 4:00 - 6:30pm.

WHAT IS A REFILL POP?

Our friend and zero-waste mentor, , pops up at the shop once a month in order to bring a zero waste refill station to Waxhaw, NC, and the surrounding South Charlotte area.

During this event you will be able to refill home & personal care products in bulk and shop plastic-free goods for less wasteful living.

We share the same vision for sustainability & fair labor, and the products you will find at Ekologicall are easy swaps you can make to help you reduce your plastic waste.

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT AT OUR REFILL POPS?

Each month, Ekologicall will pop up inside Siela with plastic-free zero waste essentials and a refill station that allows you to bring your own containers in order to fill up on items like hand soap, dish soap, shampoo, laundry detergent, and household cleaning products.

REFILL STATION: bring your own clean containers from home and stock up at the bulk refill station. Find everything from soap to laundry detergent to dental floss. All eco-friendly and made with all-natural ingredients. You will pay by the ounce so you get just what you need.

You will be able to shop a curated collection of eco-friendly sustainable living products for home and body.

We have very limited parking behind the shop that we would love to reserve for those with limited mobility and the other businesses operating within our building.

Here are a few free, public parking lots available in town – all within easy walking distance.

The closest will be at the Waxhaw Woman’s Club (200 E. South Main St.) that kindly offers its lot for parking – it is half a block down the sidewalk.

Other options include:

+ corner of McDonald St. & N. Broome St. under the water tower
+ corner of Howie Mine Rd. & N. Broome street across
+ corner of N. Church St. & McDonald St.

Thank you for helping us make the best of our cute little space in our historic downtown.
