The Thrifty Lark, the resale boutique of the non-profit organization FirstLook, exists to support the mission and vision of the life-affirming medical center. The Thrifty Lark opened in 2005 in a small corner of the offices as a means to provide a more steady income stream for the ministry. Established in 1995, FirstL
ook (formerly Women’s Resource Center of Ellis County), is a non-profit, tax-exempt organization, staffed largely by volunteers and relying completely on donations for support. All gifts are tax deductible. FirstLook is supported by donations from individuals, businesses and churches, two major fundraisers each year, occasional private grants, and The Thrifty Lark. A generous community donates goods which are sold in the resale boutique, and 100% of the income made supports the center. The Thrifty Lark commits to offer customers consistent quality, fairly-priced merchandise in a clean, organized and pleasant environment. FirstLook is an interdenominational Christ-centered outreach equipping and empowering men and women to make informed decisions regarding their sexual and reproductive health. FirstLook offers life-affirming options with practical support. Our vision is to erase the perceived need for abortion in Ellis County and be a community where FirstLook is the first choice.
