The County Cupboard Non-profit 501(c)3 thrift store serving Waushara and surrounding counties in Wisconsin. Opened in 1972 at St. Joseph's Church.

DONATIONS/RECEIVING
We accept donations at the back entrance during the following hours:
Monday-Friday from 9 am - 4

pm; Saturday from 9 am - 1 pm

We DO NOT accept large electronics such as TVs, Computers, Printers/Copiers, or Fax Machines. If you have any questions about what donations we accept, please give us a call! Adjusted Hours 2025:

Good Afternoon Waushara County! We hope that this wonderful Friday is serving you well! Come by this weekend to shop with great prices and find your Spring and Summer needs 😎!

We have a ride range of product donated by our comminuty, from picnic supplies🧺, summer clothes🎽, sports supplies⛳️, to swim wear🥽!
Nic Nacs for each season, we currently have a wide variety of Spring and Summer decorations. 🏖🌱

❗️Remember that we now have shopping carts🛒.❗️ They are located at the entrance of the side door, right by the shopping baskets. You can find shopping baskets by the main street entrance, and by our register as well :).

We are a 501(c)3 Nonprofit organization.

What does that mean?
A nonprofit organization (NPO) is a business entity organized for purposes other than generating profit for owners or shareholders, such as charitable, educational, or religious missions. These organizations are tax-exempt, must reinvest all earnings back into their mission, and are governed by a board of directors.

We are governed by a board of directors; we take in donations to resell to fund our mission. With those funds we give back to the Waushara County Communities in a few different ways:
1. Work with Salvation Army of Waushara County to help those who have encountered a natural disaster and have lost their homes and belongings.
2. Give scholarships to graduating high school seniors (this includes homeschoolers) that live in Waushara County planning to go on to college.
3. Give donations back to our fire departments, libraries, food pantries, and many other nonprofit organizations benefiting the Waushara County communities.

Our mission:
to fund social services, charitable causes, or community programs by selling donated goods, rather than generating profit for owners. The County Cupboard promotes sustainability, provide affordable goods, and reinvesting revenue back into local community.
