Wow!!! I can't thank you all enough for all your love and support my Dfunk family. Thank you for your patience the last 2 days. I had no idea how many of you would come in one last time. Sorry you had to wait in a long line and today was a s**t show with the credit card machine and Spotify going down. But we made it thru it. I truly love you and will miss you. Thank you for making Dfunk what it was. I couldn't have done it without you. Until we meet again. Stay safe and happy ..... AND DON'T GET RIPPED OFF, JUST GET RIPPED 💜💜💜💜

It is with a broken heart and tears in my eyes, that I have to announce that I have to close my store, Discfunktion, after 30 + years of doing what I loved. I am still open so stop in and stock up. Bring lots of tissues because I will be crying. My customers are like family to me. Remembering the group of kids that would stop at Soundwaves every day after school and 30 years later watching them grow up and have families of their own now. To my regulars that stop in and chat about life. I will miss you all. You made owning the store fun. Remembering all the laughter, the hard times we got thru together to all the memories you've given me. Thank you for letting me be part of your lives. 💜💜💜
In February I got a new landlord and he doesn't like what I sell and we don't get along. My attorney told me, I have to watch what I say. I stood up for myself and the others in my building , but sometimes that's not enough. I wanted to sell Discfunktion to someone that would carry it on at that location, but my landlord will not let that happen. Not sure what my next chapter will be on this road in life. I've been knocked down so many times, it's getting hard to stand back up. I'm to tired to move and reopen again. Like my grandpa used to say, even good queens get beheaded sometimes.
I have to be out by the end of May. I will keep you posted as to when the last day will be.
