✨ Etched Copper Bumpa ✨

A beautiful etched copper bumpa, made by traditional artisans in Nepal.

In Vajrayana ritual practice, a bumpa is used for holding and distributing blessed water, often saffron water. Even a single strand of saffron can be placed in the vase, infusing the water with saffron’s rich color and fragrance for ritual use.

This piece stands approximately 6" tall and features elegant etched detailing with coral inlays.

A lovely addition for shrine, practice, and ritual use.

Please note: the bumdro top piece, made from kusha grass and peacock feather, is sold separately.

✨ Dharma Treasures Book Spotlight ✨

Machik’s Complete Explanation: Clarifying the Meaning of Chöd is one of the most important collections of teachings from Machik Labdrön, the great female saint and yogini of eleventh- to twelfth-century Tibet.

In these profound instructions, Machik teaches a direct way of working with fear, anger, negativity, and the “demons” we usually resist. Through the practice of Mahamudra Chöd, these difficult experiences are brought onto the path and transformed into compassion, fearlessness, and wisdom.

This expanded edition also includes Machik Labdrön’s earliest known teaching, The Great Bundle of Precepts on Severance, along with a short commentary by Rangjung Dorje, the Third Karmapa, beautifully translated by Sarah Harding.

A powerful and essential text for students of Chöd, Vajrayana practice, and the teachings of Machik Labdrön.

✨ Butter Lamps for the Shrine ✨

Butter lamps are sacred light offerings, symbolizing the illumination of awareness, wisdom, and understanding.

Traditionally, butter lamps are filled with clarified butter or oil and offered with a cotton wick. For home use, real or electric tea lights can also be placed inside the lamp as a simple and safe way to make light offerings.

At Dharma Treasures, we carry a beautiful selection of butter lamps in a variety of sizes and styles, including copper and brass lamps crafted by artisans in Nepal. These offering vessels make a meaningful addition to a shrine, altar, or practice space.

Whether offered daily or on special practice days, the light of a butter lamp is a beautiful reminder of clarity, devotion, the preciousness of each moment, and the wish to benefit all beings.

A tsebum, or long life vase, is a sacred ritual object used in Vajrayana Buddhist practices connected with longevity, vitality, and the increase of life force.

In long life practices, the tsebum is often used as a support for blessing and accomplishment, especially in ceremonies that invoke the qualities of enlightened longevity. Its vase form represents abundance, vitality, and the gathering of auspicious conditions that support life, health, and Dharma practice.

This beautifully painted wooden tsebum was made in Nepal from solid wood and features bright traditional colors, lotus imagery, and a gold-painted base.
