As you may have learned, many communities in western Kentucky have experienced incredible devastation. We are partnering with Kentucky State DECA to provide relief to those affected. Right now WCHS DECA and the Wolves Den are partnering with local businesses and creating various drop-off locations for items that we will send to Graves County High School in Mayfield, KY. Below is a list of items that we are planning to send:
~Blankets - Next week students in DECA will be using class time to create tie blankets and we will be in need of fleece fabric. I am going to Minot this weekend and will be purchasing materials for blankets if sponsoring material would be a more convenient option for you. ~If you have blankets (especially baby blankets!) that you are willing to donate we can also include those in the boxes that will be sent.
~Pillows
~Socks and underwear - All sizes/ages
~Hygiene supplies - shampoo, soap, tampons, contact solution/cases, etc.
~Warm baby clothes - all sizes; baby items are extremely needed overall
~Hand warmers
~Work/utility gloves
~Any and everything that would provide some sense of normalcy for families.
Any and all help in providing even the slightest relief to someone affected will be amazing. If you have any questions on how else you can help please reach out and we will make it happen. I will keep you updated as we have more drop-off locations and more ways to help. If you are interested in partnering with our DECA chapter to provide relief please email Mr. Westman at [email protected].
