OPEN TODAY • 11–6 🌳

It’s Wednesday, which means The Treehouse Studio is open and once again filled with handmade art, clay jewelry, paintings, and enough creativity to make mass-produced décor slightly nervous.

Vanessa has been making things.

Mike has been making things.

Some of those things are even finished.

Come wander in, look around, find something you absolutely did not plan on buying, and then explain to yourself that supporting local artists is basically community service.

Apparently you people like dogs. A lot. 😂🐶

Last night’s Dog Days of Summer was a HUGE success! High Street was packed, pups were everywhere, pup cups were demolished with absolutely no concern for table manners, and we got to see a whole bunch of familiar faces and new ones.

Seriously, THANK YOU to everyone who came out, supported the participating businesses, donated, brought your dogs, and helped make the night such a success. ❤️

And because apparently one successful event isn’t enough reason to take the next day off…

Dog Days of Summer is officially in the books, and apparently the secret to getting people downtown is simple:

Dogs.

We should’ve figured this out sooner. 😂

A HUGE thank you to everyone who came out tonight, brought their four-legged family members, visited the participating businesses, grabbed some treats, and helped make High Street feel alive.

And an especially big thank you to everyone who donated to the Humane Society. ❤️🐶 Every donation mattered, and we’re incredibly grateful for the generosity.

Thank you to all of the businesses who participated and helped put this whole crazy dog-filled evening together. Events like this only work when a bunch of small businesses decide, “Sure, let’s add even more things to our schedules.” 😂

And to the dogs…

You were clearly the stars of the evening.

The humans basically just drove you here.

Thank you, Waterford, for showing up, supporting local businesses, supporting a great cause, and making Dog Days of Summer such a fun night.

That’s right. We’re here ALL DAY.

Then from 5:00–7:30 PM, downtown Waterford officially goes to the dogs.

Honestly, they’ve been waiting patiently for their turn.

And apparently owning a little art studio wasn’t enough work, so now we have cameras.

Because humans are excellent at creating additional responsibilities for themselves.

We’ve been working on something new called…

A new video series about the artists, makers, business owners, and interesting people doing interesting things around our little corner of the world.

Apparently running an art studio requires creativity, determination, patience… and a burger roughly the size of a small ottoman. 🍔😂

Today’s Treehouse lunch comes courtesy of our neighbors at The Waterford Hotel & Restaurant: the Hotel Burger.

And this thing is ridiculous.

Burger. Cheese. Crispy onions. More toppings. More burger. A bun desperately trying to maintain structural integrity.

I ordered lunch.
I received a construction project.

So if you stop into The Treehouse Studio today and I’m moving a little slower, mind your business. I have made decisions. Delicious, beef-related decisions.

One of the best parts about being on High Street is having other local businesses right around the corner. Shop local. Eat local. Support your neighbors.

And occasionally eat a burger that requires both hands, several napkins, and a brief recovery period.
