Join readers as we gather at the Cafe at Cold Hollow Cider Mill for a morning of reading, local treats, and cider!

Bridgeside Books and The Waterbury Public Library host Silent Reading Parties every month at new locations. Anyone is welcome to join, no sign up or RSVP required!

Show up, grab a seat, and consider ordering something to thank our hosts, Cold Hollow Cider Mill! We know you can't resist the smell of those famous cider donuts!

Silent Reading Parties typically consist of 50 minutes of silent reading followed by an optional few words to share what you've read with the group to close!

The best thing about exploring our shelves (or any Indie bookstore's shelves) is the discovery! Maybe you find a book you've been looking for, maybe you find a book you weren't looking for... Each indie offers a different curated experience, and with thousands of books that come out weekly, you just never know what you'll find! Here are some tips 👉

📚 Yes, you can buy the only/last copy! It's there for YOU, and we will reorder more.

📚 Yes, we can order in most books if we don't have it in stock, and no, it doesn't cost anything extra.

📚 Please don't forget to browse the bottom shelves, it's not those books' fault they aren't at eye-level, and there are some good ones down there!

📚 Do ask your friendly bookseller to reshelve anything you might not want to want to take home with you. We know where all the books live and are happy to do that for you.
