So I think I may have some issues resolved. My combo didn't like the 3.90 gear that was in the car so I swapped in the old 4.10 gear from the other car to see how it did. It was better, but track just didn't take the power. I have a brand new ring and pinion, and just ordered the parts to build a new chunk for the car with a 4.11 ratio gear. I'm thinking of getting a 4.29 as well, to see how it works. My engine can handle and likes the rpm, so maybe that's the direction we need to go. May have the data logging issue solved, need to test a couple of things to confirm. If what I suspect works, we're good, if not, I'm going back to the old setup which I know works. Gotta love new car blues, even with the same engine and trans, you end up with tuning and other bugs. Oh well, that's racing!

Got some things figured out on the car but still have some issues to figure out. Progress is progress though! New video posted on the YouTube channel so check it out. Definitely not my best but it's there! More coming so stay tuned!

Well, today was both a great day and a frustrating one. On the frustrating part, new converter is too loose, having engine tune issues, data recorder isn't working right and shifter isn't working. Car is about 5-6 tenths and 10-15mph slower than it should be too. But.....we still managed to pull it off, came home with the trophy! Got a lot to do over the next couple of weeks to figure things out but I'm sure we will. On to the next!

We're at the track! Ready to go for Memorial Day races, we'll see how it goes. Little cold today so not sure the track will be there. Also first passes in the new car so wish me luck!

Cert done! Instead of doing a new cert, the division tech director just verified my sticker and paperwork and said all good! So no fee this time around and good to go until next year. I wanted to do a new cert because most of the sticker is illegible but not an issue since the serial number is good so it's done! Race day tomorrow!

Chassis cert day! Car already has a current cert, but the sticker is hard to read so I figured it's not a big deal to get a new one. Fresh three years and good to go!

Another weekend done and still no passes down the track! Weather yesterday was cold and windy, and not much grip on the track. We were gonna try to make some runs anyway, but the car had other plans. Three fuel leaks, no cam or crank signal at first, and not able to find the parts to fix the leaks ended the day. My daughter was able to make a few runs but also had a few issues with the car. More stuff to figure out! But rest assured, we'll get it done!

I do want to put a shout out to Full Spectrum Power batteries! I made the switch and what a difference! 33lbs lighter than my old agm, 500 more cranking amps, and over 100 rpm more cranking speed! My engine was spinning like it was running! Sure helps with a belt driven pump and front mounted tank! Anyway, new vid on the YouTube channel, more to come!

Well, what can we say, the weekend was good and bad. Good part was the UAA Expo and car show went off without a hitch but racing got called on the account of rain. That's life here in Alaska so we make do... anyway, new video posted on the YouTube channel, check it out! More to come!

Almost there! New car is just about ready, got new front tires mounted and installed. I did check balance and they are very close, so no weight needed. Got one slick mounted, gonna do the other one this week. Also pulled the trigger on a scale so once tires and wheels are on it, I'll hang the headers and see what it weighs. Anxious!
