Good things are worth the wait.

Did you know that if we rush the drying process of the cups it will ruin them? It’s true. Causes the foundation to crack. 😅 In fact, if we super rush them and throw them in the kiln they can explode 💥 and ruin a LOT of hard work and pottery! 💁‍♀️🙈👍

I see the same truth every time I try to rush life, projects, or clients. When I choose to move at my speed instead of God’s speed and grace, cracks begin to show in my “foundation”: my hope, faith, gentleness, and kindness begin to fracture as I try to live life on my terms and timing instead of God’s. Then in God’s wonderful way I am reminded again that He is God and I am not and His timing is always perfect.

Psalm 27:14 - “Wait on the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

Just sharing in case you could use the reminder too. ❤️🤗

🍂🎨 Throwback to 5 years ago on our 20th anniversary! Luke and I decided to dive into the world of pottery as a special treat. Little did we know, this “fun date” at studio would spark a newfound passion in Luke. 🏺✨

Every Saturday was our pottery day – transforming lumps of clay into unique creations. We laughed, we learned, and we shaped not just clay, but beautiful memories. As the classes wrapped up, while I checked pottery off my list (yay me! 🥳), Luke’s eyes lit up with a newfound love for the art.

“Melissa, I LOVE everything about this,” he said, taking my hand. Within a week our home welcomed a new (to us) pottery wheel and an old kiln. Luke’s evenings were filled with throwing clay and lunch breaks became online pottery classes learning tips. We appreciate you and your YouTube videos they really helped Luke on his journey, 😁👍

Now, whenever I see Luke turning a piece of mud into a stunning cup, I’m awestruck by how much this journey has enriched our lives. Isn’t it incredible how one small step can lead to such profound changes?
