Another Tuesday has arrived and so have stacks of new books!

Some highlights include "God's Country," a new mystery in the Cork O'Connor series from William Kent Krueger. We also have a beautiful special edition of "Book Lovers" by Emily Henry. And horror enthusiasts will be excited to see "The Calamities" by Chuck Wendig, as well as "Back for Blood," part II of the "Never Whistle At Night" horror story collection by Indigenous authors.

Hello friends! Join us at noon today for another virtual story time with Ellen. Today we are reading "Ruthie" by Esmé Shapiro.

Ruthie is a prince (a dog) who has it all. He lives in a castle (a house) and is beloved by his queen (his owner). But still, Ruthie longs to explore beyond the castle walls.

Yes, we are open! The folks at Stone Construction are hard at work replacing the sidewalk in front of our store. They have graciously set up easy and safe access to our front door. We recommend using the parking lots behind the store or across the street at Bryan Hall Plaza. We will have beautiful new sidewalks in just a short time, so we appreciate your patience!👷

This Tuesday we are excited to bring a whole new batch of new books to our shelves. In search of an immersive read for the scorching days of August? ☀️ We’ve got you!

Two titles stand out this week. One is Téa Obreht’s “Sunrise,” a novel capturing three lives over 100 years and the mysterious town called Sunrise that connects them. Named a most anticipated book of the year by numerous publications, including Esquire and The Boston Globe, this novel should definitely be bumped up your reading list!

Another to look out for is “Under the Falls” by Richard Russo. Both a propulsive thriller and a gut-wrenching portrait of a tight-knit rural community, this novel takes character driven drama to new heights.

Join us for virtual story time on Saturday at noon! This week we'll be reading "Milton Makes a Move" by Jonathan Graziano.

Milton is a curious little pug who loves adventure--especially when it involves snacks, stinky smells, and playing with his dog friends. He's heard that some dogs go off to live with forever families... but that kind of adventure feels a little too big for Milton.

So when Milton finds out he's moving to a new home of his own, he packs his tiny suitcase (stuffed toy included) and does his best to be brave. He's surprised to find that his new human friend, Jonathan, seems nervous too! But as Milton settles into his new home, he and Jonathan will learn that being brave means giving new things, and new friends, a chance.

Customer service is our number one priority. As a bookseller, you'll be the face of the store, helping customers, recommending titles, and creating a warm and welcoming environment that reflects our passion for books and community.

Applicants should have a broad knowledge and passion for books and bookselling, as well as the ability to work creatively with other staff members.
