We know your calendars are filling up with vacations, trips to the lake, and quality time with family. But while you’re out making memories, we need to take a moment for our amazing local shops.
It’s an industry ‘secret’; summer can be one of the hardest seasons for our downtown shops. Why? Because you (rightfully!) take that time to travel and explore new places! 🌴 The streets can get a bit quiet. But we want to make sure your favorite boutiques, gift shops, and art stops are still right here, thriving, when you return from your summer adventures.
They are the heart of our historic downtown. ❤ They support our community events, employ our neighbors, and give Washington its unique charm.
So, here’s how you can help this summer:
➡ Shop local BEFORE you leave. ✈️ Gearing up for a trip? Grab your vacation outfits, sunscreens, unique snacks, or even travel activities for the kids at a local shop first!
➡ Spend local if you’re visiting. 👪 If you are in Washington visiting family, there is no better way to see our town than a stroll through our historic downtown! You will find treasures you can't get anywhere else.
➡ Have a summer birthday or celebration coming up? 🎁 Choose to get your gifts from a small business.
