“I can’t draw anything”. I hear this a lot, especially when sharing my art. I’m here to let everyone in on a little secret: neither could I.
Honestly. I have struggled with art my entire life, starting as far back as coloring in kindergarten. I have experimented with so many things over my lifetime, just to try to understand how to art. I’ve brought myself to tears and thrown away many attempts. I’ve been knocked down, gotten back up, then dropped again.
Then one day I realized, nobody gets to control art. You can use brushes or trash scraps, it still counts. It can be inspirational or outrageous or banal or silly, and it still counts. Art isn’t about perfection. It’s about loving something that may have flaws but still speaks to you.
So if you “wish you could draw”, give it a go. There are no rules, just guidelines. And remember, there’s a market for everything.
