Hundreds, perhaps thousands, of B-17s and B-24s line up for destruction at Kingman Air Force Base, Arizona, following the end of WW2. Within a year of the war's end, approximately 34,000 military aircraft from the US Navy and Air Force had been delivered to storage facilities across 30 locations in the USA, including Kingman, known as Storage Depot No. 41. In total, over 117,000 aircraft were scrapped by the end of the program.
