This is the First time in 38 years that we have no Anchovy & Herring for the Ocean Fishery off the Columbia River. The Anchovy in the Willapa are 2" - 3", the stuff in Gray's Bay Westport is small and the Columbia River we catch or hold them in Illwaco because of flood conditions, ( to much fresh water ) The only place Puget Sound and that's a 9hr drive and a tank of diesel. WE have plenty of Frozen Point Defiance Herring, I.Q.F. Anchovy in 1 lb bags or Tray bait.
The fishing has been great with limits early. Thanks Gene

Columbia River Ocean Opener 6/25 We need input on Fresh Herring & Fresh Anchovy for the Ocean Salmon Opener on 6/25, Do you want Fresh Bait to fish with, or are you going to run Frozen? The Illwaco Charter Fleet want Fresh Anchovy and a bunch of the locals want it.

The problem is it's an 8 hr. run for my driver and a tank of diesel to haul it down, so I need orders by Friday 6/24 to bring it down.
