Before the start of I spend a few days in Chichester, Sussex, to acclimate to the time zone (and horrendous heat). The Pallant House Gallery is rightly celebrated for its wealth of 20th c. British art, some of which is … quite small. Like, tiny. These images record two periods in the Model Art Gallery project undertaken in 1934 and again during the pandemic over 2020 through 2021; I would guess these are 1 / 12 scale. All the best names of their respective eras contributed — Vanessa Bell, Duncan Grant, Paul Nash, etc. What a delicious treat.

So many lovely things, including this collection of 5 old master prints by Jacob von Sandrart, c. 1690, depicting frescos by Raphael in the Farnesina, Rome. Lovely things — over 300 years old but so current in their graphic triangular framing scheme. Feel free to comment, call or DM with interest.
