This is a controversial subject with many mixed opinions, here is my opinion they all need to be lubricated before sterilization and your slow s
peed motors should be removed from the delivery unit and be l**ed at the very least once a month. The controversy, the handpiece manufacturer says that it is “l**e free”, if you want to spend more each year for handpiece repair and replace your handpieces more frequently don’t l**e them. Lubricants for handpieces also have cleaning properties and with the inclusion of lubrication prior to sterilization helps to protect any of the metal parts that will corrode and the O-Rings internally that act as seals. Turbine Rebuild
When your handpiece stops working, it is usually because the turbine bearings are worn out and need to be replaced. Our turbine rebuilds offers a more economical alternative to replacing the entire turbine every time. After a thorough cleaning, We install new bearings and O-rings, balancing washers and calibrate and test your handpiece and return it to you running as good as new. All of the components we use are of the highest quality and come with a 6 month warranty. Turbine Replacements
When the chuck mechanism becomes worn to the point that burs are slipping out of the handpiece, its time to replace the turbine. There are other tell tale signs that its time to replace the entire turbine such as noise and possibly vibration felt during use. We keep records of the repairs on your handpieces and many times the length of time the turbine has been in service can determine that it is time for a turbine replacement.
