Update:

I want to share some amazing news and, in my opinion an answer to prayer. I left the room this morning to call our daughter, tons of decisions to make…things to work through…and Google was not my friend.

We had just finalized plans for her to come be with me through this difficult time. I came back to the MICU and was greeted with ‘the doctors are all back with your husband’. Fear races through me and I asked why. ‘You’ll see’.

I got back to the room and Bob had pulled out the vent. Not only that he was able to talk to me. Raspy for sure, but he could communicate!!!

Never underestimate the power of prayer, and I thank each of you who took the time to offer one up for him.

It is my hope this is the beginning of a swift recovery for Bob…And maybe happened to ensure he got the tests needed to understand what’s been going on with him!!

If you love the 2nd Amendment as much as I do then I urge everyone who has not done so already to set up an account on POPVOX and let your voice be heard regarding government legislation..! There are 4 pieces of legislation that you should be aware of to fight against RIGHT NOW: HR5087, HR5103, S2475, and S2470.. These have been introduced as a result of the shooting in Florida but have their roots in the gun grabbing liberals of our government. POPVOX is a site that will allow you to see any Senate and House bill that is being introduced or has been and lists the author(s) of the bill and it's co-sponsors and allows you to either oppose of support them and leave your comments.. We need to fight and we need to bring it to them hard..!! You don't even have to leave the comfort of your couch to do this..! Log on to the site, set up an account, and TAKE ACTION!!

Not a whole lot going on lately however the shooting industry has been taking a slight quality hit what with the SIG P320 trigger issues and now another R***r product issue (the Precision Rifle).. There's also some scuttle butt going around about the Re*****on 700 having issues with the safety.. Might be a good idea to check all this out. In the mean time, it's still a buyers market with plenty of manufacturer rebate programs going on and prices of ammo from .22 LR on up getting cheaper and, in the case of 22LR, becoming much more plentiful ... Life is good despite all the crap the liberals are stirring up! Gun owners need to continue to be vigilant and if you have not already done so, join some of the national organizations that work to protect our 2nd Amendment rights like the NRA, NSSF, and the GOA!!

Hey everyone.... If you are a firearm enthusiast and Second Amendment advocate like me, then you may already be aware of the event that's coming to us in Atlanta this month... If not, it is the NRA's Annual Meetings!!! I'm simply thrilled to death that it's being held this year in our great state and that my wife and I will get to be there for the entire event which runs from the 27th to the 30th! I encourage everyone to attend if they can. It promises to be quite an experience with over 800 exhibitors spanning 15 acres at the Georgia World Congress Center. As an FYI, under Georgia law, lawful carry of fi****ms WILL be permitted in the World Congress Center as well as the Omni Atlanta Hotel at CNN Center. No fi****ms will be allowed, though, in the food court or shops. This promises to be an AWESOME weekend!

Attention Georgia Gun Owners!

Ok, so I am NOT the best at Facebook (understatement)... I've updated my website: RCGunworksLLC.com with info concerning on-line retail stores no longer supported by me or my business. Cheaper Than Dirt has made the list of on-line vendors no longer being supported. If you've been to my site you know that in addition to refinishing and Gunsmithing, I provide firearm transfer services at a very modest price. Last year alone, over 320 fi****ms passed through my shop from almost as many separate dealers. All of this went without a hitch. HOWEVER (comma) one company, Cheaper Than Dirt, has a policy that prevents them from supporting home based FFL's like myself. A policy, by the way, that goes against what the ATF allows. That policy states that they will only ship a firearm to the FFL's residence address and not the mailing address. This shuts down any home based FFL like myself that does not want to accept the liability of having a firearm delivered and left at their front door for anyone to see and possibly steal. There is only one other company with such a policy in place and that companies name is: Sportsman's Guide. You may be asking yourself "So what, what's the big deal having the firearm delivered to your home...?" Well any home based FFL will know why we don't like to have that. Not all dealers ship fi****ms requiring an adult signature to accept them at the other end so sometimes the package is just left at the door. Not a good thing if it's a firearm! So we take the extra step and have fi****ms delivered to an alternate location that protects us and the buyer. The BATF allows for this but some companies find it too hard to accommodate us because they would have to use the Mailing/Shipping address...! Makes very little sense but it is what it is and so they no longer have my business. By the way, CTD has been accused of price gouging certain products to take advantage of panic buying situations. I did some digging and found this to be true. I compared a catalog from October to a "sale" catalog for December and noticed pricing as high as 15% ABOVE the October price while promoting it as a "sale" price! There are so many other on-line retailers out there that truly deserve my money. CTD is no longer one of them.
