What matters more? Accuracy? Or inspiration? When art is subjective, and creativity boundless, what difference does it make if what is created is precise?

I will always choose inspiration.

It's my annual reminder!
PS. I did this all myself with my own two hands in 2016!!

It's the little things sometimes that remind you you must be doing something right. My son asked me to paint a sunrise from his photo this morning on his way to school.

Challenge accepted!

Landscapes are an interesting exploration in composition and emotion. It's not my strong suit but I am always willing to try to develop my skills 😁 my dear friend over at Knit & Loop Crafts provided excellent reasons just for that.

This one brings back memories of the swiss alps to me and the incredible colors of that terrain. One of my most memorable experiences was on the mountains overlooking Loc Lamon above Montemart. There was a cross up there, just a small stone thing that looked down on the lake. The sun was starting to set and we only had about ten mins left before we had to take the lift back down. I got a photo of the sun peeking thru the cross. It was so quiet and peaceful that day.

This piece will be going home with her and I hope it too brings peace and joy! 😊
