Hi y’all! My name is Carley Zelus, and for those of us who don't know me, I’m the owner of The Golden Ibis. We are proud to announce we have added the back space and are calling it The Raven & The Rose. ( We will probably change the whole shop name to The Raven and The Rose at some point, just to alleviate some confusion with Google and a few other shops on the street).
We recently expanded into the entire first floor of the building and are currently completing renovations in the back portion of the space. We’re a unique boutique featuring a carefully curated mix of new, vintage, and antique furniture, home décor, clothing, gifts, and more.
We’re proud to showcase several wonderful vendors, talented local artists, and an ever-changing selection of unique treasures and fun finds.
I attended SCAD in Savannah, with a double major in both Interior Design and Fashion Design. I then spent much of my career traveling the country as a designer and professional buyer. I’m excited to now offer design services here at the shop as well.
Before opening the store, I also spent many years promoting punk, rock, and metal shows in my hometown of Atlanta, Georgia. That’s actually how I met my husband, Aaron, who owned a record label at the time. You’ll see that influence reflected in our back space, The Raven & The Rose, which will have a more eclectic, music-inspired, and edgy feel. The front of the shop, The Golden Ibis, focuses more on design, antiques, vintage finds, and our wonderful vendors.
Aaron and I are incredibly grateful to have had the opportunity to follow our dream of owning our own business. We feel blessed by God for the support we’ve received and by the many opportunities that have come our way.
We’re excited to be part of Walterboro’s growth and to see so many new businesses investing in our community. We look forward to getting to know all of you and being a part of this wonderful town for years to come. ❤️
