The origin of our Nerd Haven

Devin, the owner, has been a passionate collector of comics and a Dungeons & Dragons player since the 1980s. Michelle, his wife and co-owner, grew up playing the TTRPG Dragonquest with her family and later developed a love for collecting video games when they entered the home market in the early 1990's. After moving to Walnut, Michelle and Devin decided to open an ant

ique store in the summer of 2020. A few months later, the first appearance of Daredevil came into their hands. Inspired, Devin decided to pursue his dream of opening the kind of gaming and comic store he’d always wanted to visit. That moment—and our shared love of nerd culture—sparked the creation of a collection filled with comic books, tabletop RPGs, video games, and collectibles, which continues to grow today.

SECOND IMPRESSIONS POKÉMON PITCH BLACK PRERELEASE!

Join us at Second Impressions Comics and Games and be among the first Trainers to experience the newest Pokémon TCG set, Pitch Black!

Event Dates:
• Sunday, July 5, 2026 — Tournament starts at 1:00 PM (Signups begin at 11:00 AM)
• Saturday, July 11, 2026 — Tournament starts at 12:00 PM (Signups begin at 10:00 AM)
• Sunday, July 12, 2026 — Tournament starts at 1:00 PM (Signups begin at 11:00 AM)

Entry Fee: $25

Each player receives:
• 1 Build & Battle Box
• Ready-to-play 40-card deck
• Exclusive promo card
• 4 booster packs to customize your deck
• 3 additional booster packs for staying through the entire tournament

Prizes will be awarded to top finishers, with additional prizes based on event participation.

Whether you're a seasoned Pokémon player or brand new to the game, Prerelease events are a fun way to experience a new set before its official release. Build your deck, battle fellow Trainers, and see what surprises Pitch Black has in store.

Space is limited, so arrive early to secure your spot.

MARVEL SUPERHEROES ARE COMING TO MAGIC: THE GATHERING!

Join us at Second Impressions Comics and Games for the Magic: The Gathering – Marvel Prerelease and be among the first to unleash legendary heroes and villains on the battlefield.

Whether you're teaming up with Earth's Mightiest Heroes, fighting alongside mutants, or plotting world domination with iconic villains, this is your chance to experience the Marvel Universe in Magic before the official release.

Prerelease Schedule:

June 19 – 6:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 20 – 10:00 AM — Single Elimination Sealed

June 20 – 2:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 21 – 1:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 22 – 6:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 23 – 6:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 24 – 6:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

June 25 – 6:00 PM — Swiss Sealed

Each player receives a Prerelease Kit to build a deck and jump straight into the action. Cost is $45. Assemble your team, test your powers, and discover which Marvel legends await inside your packs.
