Guide Jason Freed had a great couple mornings with Murray Madson and his family out of Pehrson Lodge chasing Lake Vermilion walleyes. Lots of hooksets in the two mornings and memories made with some fun banter. We even managed to catch a pair of sunglasses. 🤔😎

Another fun week on Lake Vermilion chasing bass and walleye with customers. Walleye fishing is picking up and bass fishing overall has been action packed at times. LOA guide Jason Freed’s calendar is almost full for the remaining of the season before he goes back to coaching 🏈. Guide Wyatt Mann has a few openings that last part of August and into Sept. be sure to get on the calendar with him. You will have a lot of fun and learn a few things.

Here is your fishing report for Lake Vermilion for the beginning of August. Having various presentations is the name of the game from finesse to aggressive reaction bites. The bite is getting better heading into late summer. Leadcore, rigging, jigging, bobbing, shiver minnowing, etc all catching them.
