"Visit" Wakefield MA would like to remind everyone of some of the great reasons to "Visit" the Town of Wakefield MA this weekend. Here are just a few of what will occur:
Starting with tonight at 6:30 -- Wakefield Center Neighborhood Association will be be presenting the Lighting of the Lights on the Upper Common with a visit from Frosty. Details here https://www.facebook.com/WakefieldCNA
December 2nd starts off with the Wakefield Area Chamber of Commerce with Santa's Tour through Wakefield MA starting at 11:00 AM. Details can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/wakefieldlynnfieldchamber
Then at 1:00 PM, the Wakefield Community Partnership will be conducting their Annual Toy Drive and Food Drive at the Americal Civic Center, with performances by our local dance organizations and a performace by the School of Rock. And also on Dec 2nd, visit the First Parish Congregational Church at the Lake for their Live Nativity performance starting at 5:00 PM.

In 2023, we will be celebrating our 10th Anniversary supporting local, Wakefield based, businesses. We announce reasons for people to come see what our business community has to offer them.

In celebration of our anniversary year, we would like to offer any of our local businesses the opportunity to be highlighted. In an effort to heighten our efforts, we would like to send out an updated description of your business, some of our pictures are old and the info may not be fully correct. Another great reason to "Visit" Wakefield MA.
Check out this recent announcement from the Arts Collaborative Wakefield. They have scheduled a Winter Artisan Sale from 1-6:00 PM during the time of the Holiday Stroll on Saturday, December 3rd. Drop in and take a look at all the local, handmade products that they have to offer. They are located at 9 Albion St, in the Albion Cultural Exchange building.

The Arts Collaborative of Wakefield is proud to present its Annual Winter Artisan Sale in the main gallery of the Albion Cultural Exchange Building ! Stop by 9 Albion Street, Wakefield on Friday, Dec 2 from 5pm – 8pm or Saturday, Dec 3 during the Wakefield Holiday Stroll from 1 – 6pm.

Get into the spirit of the season and come shop a variety of local and handmade products including artwork of all kinds - ceramics, jewelry, mixed-media, paintings, prints, photography and other hand-crafted items, along with soaps, candles, and sweet treats.

In addition, we are featuring a Small Works Fundraiser with all proceeds going to the Wakefield Food Pantry.

This Saturday, December 3rd, the Wakefield Community Partnership will be hosting it's annual Holiday Stroll A Day of Giving at the Holiday Stroll and Shop This year the Stroll will take on a true Strolling experience as visitors to the downtown "stroll" from one entertainment venue to another. The WCP works to provide community experiences while promoting local businesses. Attached please read their last posting to support our local shops and merchants. The Holiday Stroll is a month away. Santa's elves are busily making preparations for this year's event on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, between 2:00 -- 6:00 p.m.
Would you like to lend a hand and donate some volunteered time? "The Wakefield Community Partnership is seeking individuals to help us at the indoor venues this year. Would you like to donate some of your time? Support comes in many shapes, and the opportunity to get involved could start with this event." Contact us at [email protected] to get involved.

The Wakefield Community Partnership (WCP) would like to update it's Announcement to the public. Mark your calendars, on Saturday, December 3rd, between 2:00 -- 6:00 pm the 13th annual Holiday Stroll will take place in the downtown area of Wakefield.
In support of the Boys & Girls Club of Wakefield, the WCP will also be conducting a Toy Drive in their benefit. Several establishments will be part of the event as venue locations. We ask that the community join us as we celebrate by supporting local businesses, and by bringing a new, unwrapped gift to any of the Toy drop-off locations being set up at each venue. Help us make this a true day of giving by donating a gift for the children.

Visit Wakefield MA was just informed of another great reason to pay us a visit on Saturday, December 3rd. The Wakefield Community Partnership will be conducting it's 12th Holiday Stroll once again after a 2 year absence.

ANNOUNCEMENT: The Wakefield Community Partnership is pleased to announce our next event, A Day of Giving at the Holiday Stroll and Shop, to be held on Saturday, December 3rd, 2022, in downtown Wakefield.
This year’s non-stop highlights will include:
• a Toy Drive, thanks to a partnership with the Boys & Girls Club. Drop-off locations will be available at the event’s entertainment sites.
• A visit from St. Nick, who will travel around downtown, ready to greet community members and take photos!
• A variety of entertainment options, including music, face-painting, and of course, shopping experiences at local businesses throughout Wakefield, MA.

There will be no street closures this year, instead, it will be a true stroll through Wakefield’s downtown, so that you can visit the local establishments while you drop off a toy for a family in need. All toys collected will be donated to the Wakefield Boys & Girls Club, who will then distribute them during the Christmas season.

We are currently working with the Dance Studios to bring in a special performance for us at the Civic Center. We have it on good authority that Santa will make this his first stop there once he arrives. The Savings Bank and the Wakefield Cooperative Bank, alano's, and the Albion Cultural Exchange have graciously agreed to be entertainment locations that day. Stay tuned for more updates regarding the types of entertainment at each location.
