Social Hour has the honor of holding the title of Best Maui Coffee Roaster in 2018 and has back to back Maui Barista Championship titles with Ryan taking the title in 2017 and Daniel claiming it in 2018.

We’re kicking off something new — sharing some of our favorite brew recipes for the coffees we love most. First up:

Golden Hour – Bali Kintamani

Grown in the volcanic highlands of Bali under citrus trees and natural shade, this organically grown coffee is rooted in the Tri Hita Karana philosophy — harmony between nature, people, and spirit. Naturally processed on raised beds, it’s fruit-forward, balanced, and full of vibrant island character.

Brew Recipe (Pour Over)
Coffee: 22g (medium-coarse)
Water: 350g total

• Bloom: 50g for 30–45 sec
• 0:45 → Pour to 150g
• 1:30 → Pour to 250g
• 2:30 → Pour to 350g
Total brew time: 3:30–4:00
