Now that I am caught up from the surf and turf rush on scent tubes I have been working on a new clip for the TT15 style collars. They take a slightly larger charging clip so we had to design a separate clip for these collars. I use white for all my prototype builds so here is a picture of the first pass design. It is a glue less clip that I can mount on my standard face plate. The clips have two holes so I can mount it on the face plate. They are much larger so I barely fit two on the plate.

So I was able to boil one of the scent stakes but it got really mailable after I took it out for a short time. Might have to be careful when doing this because it can deform the stake. I could bend it when it first came out but then it hardened up after cooling.

Over the past few days, I worked with the Surf and Turf trainers in Bryan, Texas, on the lake. I always enjoy collaborating with this team, but this time I had a special encounter. I met a unique team from Poland and was able to give them one of my scent tube cases. Since I don’t usually ship internationally, I decided to provide them with some samples to take home. They gave me a few items in return, and I truly appreciate the patch they gave me. Despite the language barrier, K9 is a universal language. We all share the passion for locating and rescuing missing people. Meet "Pancake," the bone hunter from Poland. I had the chance to have him on my boat and pilot for the team during their training with this group. Thanks again for the patch—I can add it to my extensive collection. Wishing you safe travels back to Poland, sir!

I’ve been able to successfully print both scent tubes and scent stakes in PETG. I wasn’t able to find any camouflage-colored filament yet, but I’m still on the lookout for PETG in a camo pattern.
Since PETG comes out very shiny, I’m also trying to figure out how to give it more of a matte finish—if anyone has tips, feel free to PM me!
On a positive note, the PETG sleeve held water during testing, which is a great sign.

Since I am a low budget K9 handler who travels to training sessions and other events, I’ve been searching for an affordable temperature sensor for my vehicle. I believe I’ve found a great option. I ordered it expecting there might be a catch, but so far, there isn’t one. It includes two years of cellular service without needing Wi-Fi or Bluetooth. You can set alarms, and it monitors the device’s power supply—if the power is cut, it sends a text alert. I’ve used other sensors before, but their cellular monitoring was very expensive. This one seemed too good to be true, yet it has delivered on all its promises so far. I’d rate it an A+ at this point.

After a week and a half of being grounded with two days of rain, one scent stake was removed which had been filled with decomp soaked pie balls, both K9 hit the tube accurately with no issues. The stake was tapped on the sides and then removed with a wiggle.

This test, conducted over several days, aimed to verify the Scent Stakes produced by the 3D printer. Up to now, the test has been quite successful, and the stakes appear to function well for buried issues. I used ceramic pie balls and a 3D-printed coupler designed for mason jars, soaked with muscle tissue, then placed the pie balls inside the round tube and hammered it into the ground. After that, I removed the hammer cap and replaced it with a cap featuring holes. Both dogs reacted by bracketing, found the source, and then performed a TFR at the top of the tube. The test lasted more than five days, and it rained on two of those days.
