Stop 🛑 LQQk 🤩 and Love ❤️

This is a Maitland Smith luxury designed box made in the Philippines.

It has dings and a couple of scratches. In its current condition, I would give it a four out of five. Why?

Based on our research the stone is most likely green aventurine and the body appears to be tortoise veneer. This box is elegant and a great conversation piece. Let me know what you think.

I have always said that I collect things that make no sense to anyone else except to me.

Let’s take this box for example. At first glance it’s an older box, no big deal. But, look at the details of the latch and locking mechanism. 😱

The lock is much older than the box which leads me to believe that somebody made the box and repurposed the latch.

The lock dates back to 1895-1905. What gives it away? The PAT APPD FOR was used before the time when Patents had to be approved. There’s no Patent number.

Lastly, look at the pins and the details. 🤩

Would you have passed by the box and not give it a thought?
