Those were the years! The busiest three weeks of the year started today. Kids out of school, folks on shortened weeks. The Holidays!!! It was a busy time and stressful, but also the start of winter. If you didn’t make it from now until spring break, best hang up your entrepreneur degree!
Long, long days. Movies in, movies out. Reserve lists four pages long. The pick up window never closed. At 10 pm, instead of going home, close the store and spend two hours prepping for the next day, only to rerun yesterday.
The busiest, most challenging, fun time of my life. The risks were great, the rewards greater. Now, 15 years after closure, I see customers who became friends who crossed over to FB besties. Great memories, great years and grateful glfor those 1986-2005 Video Sideline years!!!❤️❤️❤️❤️

People are coming to VS,probably thinking of the good ol’ days. It would be so different now! Probably impossible! I miss those days as much as you! Life was just simpler then and people were so much nicer! But remember, to get thru this nasty time.....wash your hands, socially distance and wear a mask in a store to protect you and them!!!! Please!!! And thank you!!!!❤️❤️❤️

It's been awhile so time for new posts. Canal Days was still a Wabash institution in 1993 and Video Sideline was asked to sponsor the Diaper Derby. It was held at the Wabash High School gym. Just think, those "crawlers and cruisers" are now 25 years old! If you see someone you know, please forward to them. What glory dats those were!

In Feb. Of 1991 we opened a south store, located next to Jones Fashions. It was small but served a purpose of putting videos and games south of the river. The store was open 3 years and was broken into twice!
In this photo from left is Bruce (help me here, folks), the Chamber Director, Mayor Dallas Wi******er, myself (looking pretty puffy from a round of cortisone), store manager Ryan Wagoner and Kitty Wagoner, cutting the ribbon.
The store was open from 4-8 Sunday thru Thurs. And to 10 on Friday and Saturday.
