What a soggy start to the day with 1/4" of rain already and showers forecasted to continue into the afternoon! The NC could use a slow soak as the water level has been dropping over the past few days. There is some stain to the water with visibility sitting around 20". The water temp this morning was 66°.

We are loving these cool nights and the lower humidity is an added bonus! The creek is liking the cool temps too with a morning water temp of 65°. The creek is slowly dropping and visibility is improving as the water level drops. The forecast is looking milder for the next week so we might see some fishable temps next week!

The NC is shaping up rather quickly as the water level has dropped back down and clarity has improved to 2'. The water is still at a great level for this time of the year and holding a nice flow. The air temp was a little cooler last night helping to drop the water temp down to 65°.

There was only 1/2" total in the rain gauge from yesterday but clearly it rained more north of Volant! The water level rose to what would be a normal springtime level but visibility is currently very low. The water temp this morning was 70°.

The front that rolled through last night missed Volant almost entirely with only 1/8" in the rain gauge but it is looking like this afternoons front should drop a decent amount of rain. There were a few little caddis, some hex, and a bunch of midges on the building which is nice to see! That water temp is still running hot with a morning temp of 70°.

The water level is starting to drop but is still at a very reasonable level for this time of the year! Clarity is currently improving and will continue to clear up until tomorrow's rain shows up. The water temp this morning was right at 66°.
