There have only been a few drops of rain so far this morning but it looks like some showers are expected to roll in this afternoon. Let's hope that it amounts to something because the creek could use it! The water level is holding steady but the temperature is slowly warming as we are starting the day out at 64°.

The creek is still looking good this morning with the water level holding pretty steady and a slightly lighter flow. Visibility is high but with the low water level, that is to be expected! The water temp is 61° this morning which is great to see but with low water, the water temp will likely rise quickly throughout the day.

Another chilly night made for super fishable conditions again this morning as we are starting the day out with a water temp of 59°. There were a surprising number of trout rising behind the shop this morning but that action will likely slow down as the sun starts to hit the water. The water level is holding fairly steady and visibility is high. If you are an afternoon/evening angler, it is now warm enough throughout the day that it will worth checking the water temp before you start fishing. It is likely warmer than you expected!

According to the forecast, we are enjoying one of the last cool mornings for the next week at least. The water temp is holding steady this morning at 57° but with a string of hot weather on the way, we can expect that water temp to gradually increase each day. The NC is still slowly dropping and is now on the low side with high visibility. The fishing has been hot the past few days so as long as water temps remain safe, get out on the water while you can!

The NC is looking great this morning with the water level holding fairly steady and a nice flow. The clarity continues to improve but we haven't quite hit "fish bowl" clear yet. The water temp is holding steady at 58° and we have a few cool nights left before hitting a warm spell. If you zoom in on the upper left corner of the stream, you'll see a fish taking a dry fly connected to the anglers line fishing just upstream! Looks like the trout are still playing!

How is it already June?! We are starting the month off right with the cool overnight conditions continuing into this week. The water level is on the low side but still holding a nice flow. The weather is going to continue cooperating for the next few days with highs in the lower 70's and lows in the upper 40's. That goes a long way towards extending our trout season with safe water temps! (59° this morning) The water level is hanging in there but trending towards the low side of things with high visibility. There were a few sulphurs (16), blue wings (18), tan caddis (16), and lots of midges on the building this morning!

Blue skies and perfect water conditions are how we are starting the day here in Volant! The water level seems to be still be on a slow drop and with no rain in the forecast for the next week, we should have a few days of good levels before it starts getting low. Visibility is high but the water still has some color to it around the 2' mark. The water temp was right at 58° this morning and with the some cool overnight temps in the forecast, temps should remain at a safe level!
