🌵 Starfish Cactus

☀️ Light:

* Loves bright, indirect sunlight.
* Can handle a few hours of morning sun, but avoid harsh afternoon sun that can scorch the stems.

💧 Water:

* Water deeply, then allow the soil to dry out completely before watering again.
* During spring and summer: water about every 2–3 weeks (depending on heat and pot size).
* Fall and winter: reduce watering to about once a month or less.
* Overwatering is the #1 cause of root rot — when in doubt, wait!

🪴 Soil:

* Needs a fast-draining cactus/succulent mix.
* A pot with drainage holes is best.

🌱 Growth Tips:

* New stems grow from the base and can spread outward.
* Fertilize lightly with cactus/succulent fertilizer during spring and summer.

🌸 Flowers:

* Mature plants can produce unique star-shaped flowers.
* Flowers may have a strong odor that attracts pollinators — this is normal!
