Wedl’s Hamburger Stand was established in 1916 and has been making one of Wisconsins best burgers. It’s great to see and taste a true classic. One cool fact about this place is that they are still using one of the original cast iron griddles from over 90 years ago.

The opened as a grocery store in 1928 but after prohibition it was converted into a bar. They only sell one burger two ways. Cheese and onions. They use a Wisconsin Wunderbar brick cheddar and American cheeee. I messed up and said just cheeseburger and not Brickbuger. So I only American…. Which is fine. American is king 🤣 I got the burgers to go and I was surprised how well the traveled, the buns weren’t soggy or anything. The burgs was fantastic! The patty are a good size not too thin not thick. Great beef flavor too. All and all this was probably the best bar burger I’ve ever had…If you ever find yourself In Madison Wisconsin… Check it out!!!

Today i got to experience in Wisconsin.. Home of the original butter burger since 1936!! This burger was fantastic. You wouldn’t think butter as a condiment for a burger but it totally works. The butter, cheese and onions blended together wonderfully. This burger is one of a kind
