My name is April Treona Lancaster and prior to becoming a motherl I worked in the lovely down town area of Visalia, CA. I had the joy of working with Peter Jungwirth during the final year of his beloved old time Visalia buisness Togni-Branch Stationers. During my time at the store I fell in love with the old tight knit vibe of Down Town Visalia. Following the closure of Togni I found myself workin

g at BrewBakers, Bothofs, and then eventually settling down at Beverly's for the next few years. In 2013 I realized I needed to build something that could eventually feel the Community's Boutique. It seemed natural to make my lifestyle that business and thus Lancaster Creation's was born. It has quickly become something that could possibly make the Communitique a reality. The Visalia Communitique is the Communities Boutique. It is filled with all local hand made items from right here in Visalia. It will have a community kitchen (that is right my food making friends. A COMMUNITY USE industrial kitchen. We will have work shops, classes, demos. There will be a children's area for those of us who have little ones and still want to come into the store to use the kitchen, the super fancy computerized sewing machine & so much more. It is my plan to start a crowd funding campaign in the spring of 2015. It is our goal to rally as much support as possible between now and then. I need your help!

In caring for both the space and my own well-being, I’m currently navigating some building-related environmental conditions that are being evaluated.

The bamboo plant that was in my suite when I "found" it is no longer in the building, and interestingly enough the dogs finally ruined the couch that was in the room with it.

The end of an era.

Hoping the new building owner is amazing, and or that they do justice by this old building.
