🚨 "A SIMPLE PROCESS": Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) is calling out the "irony" and "corruption" behind the opposition to the SAVE America Act.
In a viral clip recorded on February 12, 2026, Burchett blasted the 213 House Democrats who voted against the bill yesterday, February 11, after it passed the House in a narrow 218-213 victory.
"Hey everybody, Tim Burchett. I just couldn't help but think about the irony of this. 213 Democrats voted against the Save America Act yesterday. The Save America Act, what does it do? You gotta prove you're an American citizen to get registered to vote and you gotta show a dadgum photo ID to vote. And that ID, 213 Democrats used their IDs to vote yesterday. Nobody hollered about racism there. It's just ridiculous, folks. This thing is just about corruption and it's about control and the Democrat party ought to be ashamed. It's just pathetic. That's not any way to treat people. We ought to have safe elections and they are fighting us tooth and nail. Hopefully we can get enough votes in the Senate and it'll happen. I believe Leader Thune is on the right path, getting it there. And our sponsor Chip Roy in the House did a great job, passed it three dadgum times. And now the Senate, Senator Mike Lee, I was with him last night at supper and he is, he's the man. I'm a fan, big time. So anyway, let's keep going. Call your U.S. Senators and tell them we need the Save America Act today. Thank y'all for sending me here."
