Edward Eugene Waddle, born on August 22, 1954, in Missouri, passed away on May 26, 2026, in Louisiana. Edward's life was marked by his profound love for the outdoors, finding solace and joy in fishing and hunting—hobbies that spoke to his deep connection with the simple pleasures of life.

Edward’s journey began in Missouri, where he was raised by his beloved parents, Edith Pickett Waddle and J.E. Waddle, both of whom have preceded him in death. He is also preceded in death by his son Mark.

He is survived by his daughters, Amanda Vaughn and Becca Pickett. Edward also leaves behind his sisters Florence Sowell and her husband Paul, Mary Hernandez and her husband Miguel, along with a wide circle of extended family.

A Memorial Service will be held on June 27, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. The service will be held at Vilonia Cemetery, located at 28 Cemetery Rd., Vilonia, Arkansas, 72173. This gathering will serve as a time to reflect on Edward’s life and the indelible mark he left on those around him.

Marty O’Brien, 72, of Greenbrier, Arkansas, passed away on June 14, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.

Marty was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend whose larger-than-life personality left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know him. He was the beloved husband of Charlotte (Charlie) O’Brien and a proud father to Seth O’Brien (Kristen O’Brien) and Chris Williams.

Nothing brought Marty more joy than spending time with his family. He was a proud grandfather to Chloe Cooper (Jeremy Cooper), Christopher Williams (Madison Jones), Kolton Treadway, and Klayton Treadway. Marty was also blessed to become a great-grandfather to Asher Williams. He treasured every moment shared with them and took great pride in watching his family grow.

He was a loving brother to Rick O’Brien (Paula O’Brien) and Terry O’Brien, and he cherished the bond they shared throughout their lives. Marty is also survived by his mother-in-law, Virginia Williams.

Marty dedicated 56 years of his life to his trade as a Journeyman Pipefitter with Local 798 in Tulsa, Oklahoma. He also spent 10 years working for Quality Foods/PFG. He took immense pride in his work ethic, craftsmanship, and the relationships he built throughout his career.

Marty found happiness in life’s simple pleasures. He loved swimming in the pool, keeping his yard perfectly mowed, and cheering on the Razorbacks every chance he got. He never missed a game and rarely missed an episode of Law & Order: SVU. Whether he was gathered around a card table with family and friends or enjoying a backyard afternoon, Marty had a way of bringing people together.

Known as the life of the party, Marty kept everyone on their toes with his quick wit, humor, and unforgettable personality. His laughter filled every room he entered, and his presence made every gathering brighter. He had a unique gift for making memories that his family and friends will cherish forever.

Marty was preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd O’Brien and Wincel Bridges O’Brien. As well as his father-in-law Thomas Williams.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated care team at CARTI, Dr. Joseph Beck, the hospice team, and nurse Ashley Echols for the compassion, support, and exceptional care they provided to Marty throughout his journey. The family would also like to express their sincere appreciation to dear friends Cynthia Slamka Wilkes and Gary and Donna Parker for their unwavering friendship, kindness, and care during this difficult time.

Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, the love, laughter, and countless memories he shared will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.

Marty will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Patrick Lynn McDermott, 68, of Beebe was born, November 4,1957, to B.L. (Mac) and Clara Gallandar McDermott. He went to his final resting place June 5, 2026.

He was proceeded in death by his parents and his wife Dixie.

Pat is survived by his life partner Phyllis Dawson of the home; two brothers Mike (Debbie) of Jacksonville and James (Annette) of Missouri; two stepsons Brent (Gina) Hallmark of Jonesboro and Scott Hallmark of Little Rock; two grandchildren Addy and Hayden Hallmark. Pat also leaves behind a host of lifetime friends.

Pat was a social butterfly, some would say. He never met a stranger. He was a wonderful son, brother and friend. Pat took care of his mother for several years until her passing. He was always willing to help anyone in need. He loved outdoors whether it was mowing, planting bushes or just sitting swinging on the back porch. In the springtime you might catch him at the lake camping and fishing. Pat was a competitive pool player. He loved all types of sports, especially the Razorbacks.

A Memorial Visitation will be held Wednesday, June 10th from 6:00-8:00 p.m., in the Chapel at Smith Westbrook Funeral Home, 404 W Dewitt Henry, Beebe.

After a life well-lived and loved by many Rickey Wayne Clements, 54, of Rosebud, went to be with the Lord on June 5, 2026. He was born on December 18, 1971, in Conway, AR.

Rickey was born and raised in Greenbrier; he married Janet in 2000 and together they built a life that they loved with their 3 boys; Hunter, Landen, and Brayden in tow. They were married for almost 27 years, and they meant the world to each other. He referred to Janet as his “blondie girl”. His boys were his greatest blessing, and he was so proud of them. He taught them how to hunt, fish, and work on tractors and equipment. Rickey taught them all his mechanic tricks and made sure they grew up to be good, strong, Christian men. He always told the girls when they started coming around to; brush their hair and put powder on. Rickey and Janet didn’t have grandkids yet, but they loved their grand pups; Ranger, Daisy, Coco, Cooper, Emmett, and Willow- and the dogs loved their “pops” too. He made special trips to come see them every day and expected a cup of coffee with his visit. No matter how long you’ve known him, he always had a way of making you feel like family.

He now joins his dad, Harold Clements; and his grandparents, CT and Zida Clements and Dell and Hattie Davis.

He is survived by his wife, Janet; sons, Hunter (Chrislyn), Landen (Arielle), and Brayden (Emma); his tight knit group of friends, Kenny Taylor, Wesley Bono, Jason Miller, Chad Mallett, Doyce Owens “Shirley”, Johnny West, Kevin Neal “Crash”, and Jerry Reams; and a host of other family and friends.

There will be a memorial service in his honor on Wednesday, June 10th at 3:00 pm, with a visitation an hour prior at 2:00 pm at Wilcox Family Funeral Home.

Lola Taylor West, 78, of Greenbrier, AR, passed away on June 5, 2026, surrounded by the ones she loved. She was born on February 6, 1948, in Conway, AR, to the late WM and Ruth Taylor.

Lola was born and raised in Greenbrier and graduated there in 1966. She went on to Hendrix College where she graduated with her bachelor’s degree and then received her master’s degree at the University of Tennessee; her degree was in psychology. She worked at the North Little Rock VA for many years; Lola loved her job and her veterans; she took so much pride in what she did. It was her lifelong passion and service. Lola loved her family; grandson, nieces, nephews, and “greats” most of all ... but her dogs, Gunner and Daisy were a close 2nd. She enjoyed crafting, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.

She is preceded by her parents; dearest friend, Karen Lawman; sister-in-law, Dana Taylor; and cousin, Rick Brandonburg.

Lola is survived by brother, Kenneth Taylor; son, Kevin Bonner; and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and lifelong friends that became family.

There will be a visitation in her honor on Tuesday, June 9th at Wilcox Family Funeral Home from 10:00 am – 12:00 pm.

Willa Dean Teegarden Parker 57 of Conway passed away on May 25, 2026. Born on May 24, 1969 she was the daughter of Noel (Shorty) and Wilma Teegarden. Willa was united in marriage to Kevin Parker on July 28th 1990 in Norfork, AR. Willa and Kevin moved to Conway in 1995 where they made a life and raised their children. Willa kept close ties to her family and friends in the Norfork area and visited often. Willa earned a degree in early childhood education from Arkansas State University, Beebe, and spent the past nineteen years as a preschool teacher at Vilonia Early Learning Center.

While her time on Earth felt much too short, Willa spent those years living life to the fullest as a faithful wife, devoted mother, loving daughter, cherished sister, beloved aunt, treasured niece, fun loving cousin and genuine friend. Willa’s days were spent shaping young minds, and not a day went by that she did not have her students on her mind and in her heart. The care she had for her littles went far beyond the classroom, which was so evident in the lasting relationships she built with her coworkers and the families she taught. Willa was a member of the Old Liberty Baptist Church and even in her darkest days she was a steadfast Christian, confidently assuring everyone around her that Heaven would soon be her home. Willa’s life was filled with kindness and empathy to others, joy in the little things, incredible strength in the face of adversity, and an unequivocal love for the people in her life. Willa’s love for her children unmatched and her devotion to them was an example to all. Willa gave endlessly, loved deeply, and made everyone around her feel special and seen. She was truly a light to others and will be incredibly missed.

Willa is survived by husband Kevin, two children, Jansyn and Logan both of the home, Mother, WIlma Teegarden of Norfork, two siblings Jeff Teegarden (Angie) of Norfork and Leanna Martin (Richard) of Calico Rock, mother in law Connie Parker and sister in law Denise Ladyman (Gary Knott) of Kell, IL, nieces Nichole Hixon (Jonathon), Mandy Ladyman (Travis Roberg),and Lindsay Dwyer (Cameron), nephews Jordan Teegarden, Will Martin, and Jamey Martin, aunts Betty Teague (Barton), Maxine Coggins, and Lena Parnell, uncle Keith Southard, numerous great nieces and nephews, cousins, and many dear friends. Willa was preceded in death by her father, Noel (Shorty) Teegarden, father in law Frank Parker, maternal and paternal grandparents, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A service for Conway/Vilonia friends and family will be held Saturday May 30th at 9:30 AM at Old Liberty Baptist Church in Conway with Jeff Ashley officiating. A service for Norfork area family and friends will be held at 3:30 PM at Galatia Assembly of God Church in Norfork with burial to follow at Galatia Cemetery. Pallbearers will include Bobby Hicks, Richard Martin, Jonathan Hixon, Logan Parker, Cameron Dwyer, and Will Martin. Honorary pallbearers will include Mike Garrett, Randy Bone, Larry Green, Jeffery Teegarden, Bill Wright, and Barton Teague.

Willa’s family would like to thank their church family at Old Liberty Baptist Church and the staff at Conway Carti for all the love and support of sweet Willa. Willa loved flowers in bright, vibrant colors with her favorites being carnations and roses, or a donation in her memory can be made to Old Liberty Baptist Church.

Ardeth Christine Grissom, 81 of Vilonia passed away May 23, 2026, peacefully at home surrounded by her greatest accomplishment, her family. She was born December 8, 1944 to the late Albert and Ruby Fulmer. She was a lifelong resident of Vilonia Arkansas and took pride in working 20 years at Conway Regional Medical Center as a housekeeper.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother Curtis H. Fulmer, 6 sisters, Arra Wanna (Fulmer) Sulmer, Lavene (Fulmer) Gentry, Emily (Fulmer) Andrews Rye, Vivian (Fulmer) Fort, and Violet Fulmer, Faydell Tullos, one son Galon Grissom and a stepson Richie Grissom.

Left to cherish her memory are sons RaDale Grissom, Jackie Lee Grissom(Amanda), Justin Grissom, and Joey Grissom(Samantha), daughters Denise Griffin(Tony) and Melissa Grissom, Chirstie Grissom, step-son Sammy Grissom Jr., brother Carlin Fulmer, sister Cheryl(Fulmer)David, Honorary sisters, Joann Smith and Ruby Roberts, 19 grandchildren, 35 great grandchildren, 4 great great grandchildren, and countless others that were blessed to call her Mama or Nana.

Visitation will start at 5:00 pm to 7:00 p.m. Friday May 29, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home in Conway. Funeral service will start at 2:00 p.m. Saturday May 30, 2026, at Cole Funeral Home in Conway in the chapel.

Family will be meeting at Summit Church after the service for a potluck dinner, please join us and bring your favorite dish.

Elena Marie Thacker, 89, of Quitman, AR went to be with the Lord on May 14, 2026. She was born June 2, 1936, in Texas to the late Otto Victor and Mary Esta Clark. Marie was a loving wife, mother, Granny, and GiGi; who more than anything loved spending time with her family. She was a member of Christ Alive Church at Sardis. Marie loved tending her flowers and watching the hummingbirds. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Sarah Anderson, two brothers, Roosevelt and Victor Clark, and beloved grandson, Bryan Thacker.

Marie is survived by her husband of 73 years, Marshall Ray Thacker, three children, Marshall (Debra) Thacker Jr., Sammy Thacker, and Deloris (Donnie) Stanton. Also four grandchildren, Donna (Kris), Kevin (Jevon), Jeff (Heather), and Jason (Rachel), thirteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. A brother, Henry Baldwin, sister, Karen Kay Szucs, and many nieces, nephews, family and friends.

Visitation will be Tuesday, May 19, 2026, from 6:00-8:00PM at Roller McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral Service will begin at 2:00PM Wednesday, May 20, 2026, at Christ Alive Church at Sardis with Brother Wes Watts officiating. Burial will follow at Central Cemetery in Quitman.

Pallbearers will be Kevin Stanton, Jeff Stanton, Brady Stanton, Conner VanKampen, Jason Thacker, and Kris Thomason. Serving as honorary pallbearer will be Ryan Perry.
