Local author Barbara Carroll Roberts will be discussing her brand new release on Saturday, August 15th at Bards Alley!

When George Washington Bowed to the New Nation is a picture book-formatted non-fiction great for middle readers and older, telling the story of George Washington during his time as general of the Continental Army and its aftermath.

Saturday, August 15th authors Tonnye Fletcher, Jen Fier Jasinski, and Alicia Meyers will be at Oakton Library for an interactive kids event great for grades K-5! Our authors will be previewing their books and kids can explore how instruments work and practice relaxation techniques.

Participants will play music and movement games, explore creativity through crafts, and receive take-home activities! Bards Alley will be on-site selling copies of the books and a book signing will follow. No registration required, so add this to your calendar!
