💔 Sad day for our local community.
Seeing two of our staple small businesses closing their doors is a heartbreaking reminder of how tough the industry can be. Paint's Underground Pizza served up truly unique and tasty pizza, and The Chopping Block was always the go-to spot for quality meat. They will both be deeply missed.
As a business owner, it definitely makes you reflect. One day, I know I will either have to retire or close down, joining the history books alongside giants like Blockbuster, Hollywood Videos, and Hastings.
But looking at the journey so far, I am incredibly humbled. Over the last 2 years, the numbers and the store have grown. We’ve never had the backing of the city, the news, or the local newspapers—they have never done anything for me or my store.
That is why this milestone belongs to Y'ALL!! First and foremost, I give thanks to God. And second, I want to thank every single local and out-of-towner who walks through our doors week after week to support us. Without you, I am absolutely nothing.
