The word for the day, borrowed. In a world where we live more for tomorrow that today, we must take some time to realize that everything around us is only borrowed. You mother, your father, your sister, your brother, your wife, your husband, your friends. Those are the personal things. The same can be said for material things also. When Kobe and his daughter hopped on a helicopter a few years back, they had no idea that it would be the last moments of their lives. Had they taken enough time to appreciate each other and better yet, tell each other how much they appreciated the times they had together. We tend to always be on the go, seldom stopping to be in the now. Says easy, does hard I know, but if we don't attempt to make the effort, we miss so many opportunities to make a moment. Moments are all we have left when time is up for the thing you borrowed, and it is returned. A book says, The Lord gives, and the Lord takes away. Borrowed and returned. I suggest you take time to stop, smell the roses and tell the roses how good they smell. It means so much more when they are returned and all you have left is the memory of the aroma they left. Today is my day to remember the aroma and be glad we created those moments. For those of you who still have the person the Lord allowed you to borrow, what can you do today to add to the memory bank of your mind. It would be so sad to open it one day and find it empty because you worked so hard for one day and that one day never came. We are stewards of the things given to us, mother, father, sister, brother, husband, wife, friend. It's only on loan, make memories today.
